Write or Die
The desktop version is what I use. This application only costs $10 (at the time of this post). This program allows you to push yourself to write as much or as little as you want. You can set word goals or time goals. If you stop writing, the screen turns red and makes an annoying noise. You can, of course, customize the settings for the motivational affects. You can just set time or word goals and not have the noises and screen turning colors. It’s your choice. Once you’re done, you can save the file, add it to another file, copy and past it into something else or whatever you want. I love it! (Also available for the iPad)
